B12 Deficiency. Options

Hi everyone,

In January I found out I was B12 deficient and had a two week booster course of injections. I was told to call back in 3 months to get a top up, which will be needed around April. For the last few weeks I've started feeling very tired with no energy, slightly light headed and have tingling fingers..... Are tingling fingers a sign my levels are low?

I'm due a blood test so think I will call to book ASAP with the nurse to see what's happening.

B12 is a common vitamin deficiency in RA. I'm not sure that tingling fingers is symptomatic of B12 though, I think that's a symptom of RA. There are lots of ways to supplement B12. Marmite if you love it.

I have horrible pins and needles and have just been tested for B12 levels , no news on results , I think it is a symptom of deficiency but I'm more inclined to think it is the RA , love marmite ! x

I had the tingles,pins and needles etc turned out carpel tunnel in both hands but its a r.a. symptom as is the light headed and tiredness,my b12 is fine,i did suffer from high potassium and that's similar symptoms you describe,hate marmite,good luck, dorothy
